Can fidget rings really help with exam stress?

Rebecca Davies

Fidget rings, also known as ‘Anxiety rings’, ‘Spinner rings’ or ‘Worry rings’ make a great addition to your mental health tool-kit. Fiddling with the moving parts can help self-soothe during times of anxiety and stress, making them the perfect partner during the revision and exam period. Rolling the beads between your finger/thumb allows you to shift focus away from the anxiety and stress, re-directing your thoughts as a grounding technique.

Sterling Silver fidget rings are one of my year-round best sellers, but are always most popular during exam season. They’re hand made from 100% recycled sterling silver wire, making them more durable, ethical and sustainable than cheaper, base-metal alternatives. They can also be made to your size and customised to your requirements, with one, two or three beads. Or, as an alternative, I also make fidget pendants if you don’t get on with rings.

So, whether it’s GCSEs, A level, College or University exams, know that exam worries are completely normal, but if your stress and anxiety feels like it’s getting out of control and you are struggling, please be sure to speak to your GP and get appropriate support.
